Tai Chi

Slow, flowing, internal

Tai Chi is a way of life, especially for seniors. There is no age limit — it brings the body and spirit together while working on your core.

It is a traditional Chinese martial art of slow, flowing movement, built on balance, relaxation and internal power. As a system of self-defence it teaches timing, body alignment, sensitivity and leverage in place of muscular strength: yield to the attack, redirect the force, unbalance the attacker.

As an exercise it is the gentlest way into this building, and it is where a good number of our older students began.
